Production Accountant / Producer / Director / Actor

Dolan Bloom is an accountant, producer, director, and equity actor based in New York City.  Active in theater since childhood, he earned his B.F.A. in Musical Theater from Otterbein University before settling in the New York. He acted in commercials and V.O. spots from 2014-2019. Since 2015 his experiences as a producer and director have shaped the direction of his life, leading him to repeatedly create his own work, and learn the ins and outs of the business side of producing by working as a production accountant since 2018.

Dolan has worked since 2018 on primetime shows, Blindspot, Emergence and most recently FBI as a production accountant. He has enjoyed the big picture aspect of accounting, which has reinforced his how he views projects from development through post production, all the way to airing on national TV.

In August 2018 Dolan released the series he produced and directed, NANNIES out now on Vimeo. NANNIES follows four New York babysitters navigating dysfunctional parents, inquisitive kids, and their own ambivalence. Created by four actual actor/babysitters this series will be an instant hit with anyone who has ever had to watch, care for, or entertain a child. When the world is not in pandemic mode you can find him hosting the trivia night at Fred's Restaurant Mondays at 8:30pm (83rd/Amsterdam Ave.) and at Hilltop Park Alehouse Tuesdays at 8:00pm (159th/Broadway). Dolan spends his spare time enjoying life with his wonderful wife, Martha Dobbs, founder of Play Hard Pilates.  He also loves the great outdoors, running half-marathons (full-marathons? are you crazy?), exploring the world, playing golf, and sampling all the restaurants New York has to offer, and making friends in the local dog park.
